Online education is very valuable. Continuing education, in this case, has improved these teachers knowledge base and teaching theories. It is important that professionals continue to educate themselves. Without continued education, there is little room for improvement, and many people end up stuck in a rut. They never outperform themselves or better themselves, and as a result, their subordinates or students are left with unqualified leaders which hinders their intellectual growth.

I am excited for the shift in education because of the innovations that have been made in technology. I feel the need to try and keep up and stay ahead of my students.

Education will look so different because of the incredible innovations in technology. I am excited by the changes and how it will affect our curriculums, but also nervous to keep up with the ever changing technology. I am thankful for classes like this one so I can try and keep up with my students.

As a teacher I can't wait to have all textbooks on an iPad so that student can stop carrying big heavy backpacks. Saving the environment and the students backs would be wonderful.

I am excited about tablets as a resource for my art classes. Students can see high resolution images for works of art we are studying, and have access to the many tools for organizing their resources within the apps we use.

The iPad offers multiple features and apps but the focus of marketing in education appears to be centered around the student. I also think it could have an impact on assessing student learning by providing a portable "realtime" assessment tool for educators teaching project based learning and higher order thinking skills. The need for this type of assessment appears to be lacking in current apps.

Ipads In the classroom will teach a students how to use the device for real life situations. It is a life skill that students can use in the community and at home.

The learning is centered on student engaged learning. The learning is student directed and differentiated with real world experiences and applications. It is a community based activity that is ever changing and liquid.

I am excited about education catching up with technology in order to engage students. As an English teacher, replacing a heavy textbook with an iPad seems like a dream!

I have been using computers in the classroom for over 25 years. I have seen many, many devices and technology come and go. Because my job involves managing these devices, I always think of it from that point of view. Despite how amazing the iPad is, I am overwhelmed by the cost and time it will take to manage them, keep apps organized and up to date. Is it really environmentally friendly when they are creating trash every time a new version comes out.

I thought this article had some excellent points. One thought that I had was would we all have to have access to each others wifi connection and passwords in order for the iPad to work as mobile as the article says.
